“Transportation Economics is an exceptionally well-done book which includes all the major points of interest in transportation economics and then some. McCarthy combines economic theory with econometric methods in a case-study approach and, in so doing, provides a comprehensive view of the entire field. The ‘chapter highlights’ are an excellent review of the ideas and topics presented. This is an excellent book for the upper-level undergraduate student and graduate student.” Peter D. Loeb, Rutgers University.”This is a rigorous text providing a comprehensive coverage for both the student and the specialist in transportation economics. It is strongly recommended.” Dr. Saad Yousif, Salford University.

Even the youngest children are sure to join in with the many repetitions in this upbeat I-Spy themed verse. –Chicago Parent
This rhythmic I-spy journey to school through various landscapes is the perfect introduction to colors, modes of transport, and of course, music! The jaunty text, Siobhan Bell s colorful hand-stitched illustrations and the accompanying Music CD by popular singer Fred Penner are sure to get children singing along happily. The I-Spy theme encourages reader/listener interaction, while the cumulative, repetitive text helps build sequencing skills. We All Go Traveling By is ideal for read-aloud and music and movement activities.
This adorable books features movable tracks and pop-ups on every page! Readers can drive a car along the track to a pop-up gas station, a plane into a pop-up hangar, a train into a pop-up station, and more! Colorful art and fun, rhythmic text makes this a must-have for preschoolers. Olivia Rayner’s bright, vibrant art is perfect for young children.

From end pages that trace his route to brightly colored angles of each page, this book shouts MOTION and encourages listeners to fill in the rhyme with each turn of the page. Readers will find it might take more than just hopping in a car to travel even a short distance. Mr. Bungles’s car won’t start—he runs for a train. He misses the train and tries for a bus; it’s too crowded. He runs for a van, but the van heads in the wrong direction, and Bungles finally returns via hot-air balloon and unicycle. As his name hints, the errant teacher can’t seem to do anything right. Cartoon characters in scenes of collage and mixed media follow Mr. Bungles’s efforts to watch the clock and avoid breaking his own rule, “Never, ever, ever be late for school!” A colorful selection for all librarie (more…)
